Week by Week is an AI coach that helps you find your true calling. It was built first for secondary students and school leavers in New Zealand, and adults who feel stuck at work can use it too. It helps you work out what drives you, explore career paths that fit and take one real-world step every week.
Why we built it
The road from school to work used to be fairly clear. Now AI is changing which jobs exist, there are fewer part-time jobs to try things out, and more of growing up happens on a screen. A lot of young people feel stuck – and that's not their fault. Careers advisors do great work, but there's only so much time for each student. Week by Week gives every student a patient AI coach between those conversations, and keeps them moving one small step at a time.
Who's behind it
Michael Zwiener is the founder of Week by Week and writes our guides and blog. Week by Week is built and run from Nelson by DXBE Limited.
How we write our articles
- New Zealand first. We use New Zealand sources wherever we can – Tahatū, Stats NZ, Employment New Zealand, Inland Revenue, the Ministry of Education, ERO and New Zealand research.
- Sources you can check. Every fact links to where it came from, and each article lists its sources at the end.
- Dated and updated. Pay rates, laws and qualifications change. Articles show when they were last updated, and we review time-sensitive ones when things change.
- Honest about the product. We only describe features that exist today. Anything we're still building is clearly labelled “in development”.
